Where It Started JUN
2025
One website was carrying several businesses, several audiences and several operational requirements.

We inherited complexity before we could create growth.

When Star Cleaner Australia started working with Pearstec, its digital presence had already grown into something much larger than a normal corporate website.

The same website was attempting to operate as a corporate cleaning platform, e-commerce shop, training academy, cleaner recruitment platform, employer and employee environment, and professional portal.

These were valuable business functions, but they served different audiences and required different customer journeys. Over time the architecture had become complicated.

We began by identifying the individual pieces, correcting UX and UI problems, fixing technical issues and reorganising the platform without disrupting the live Australian operation.

Eventually the challenge became clear. The business had outgrown the architecture of one website.
Star Cleaner Australia

A growing cleaning business required digital infrastructure capable of growing with it.

The Original Digital Model

One website was trying to serve four different business models.

Each function had value. The problem was forcing all of them through the same architecture.

01

Corporate Services

Residential and commercial cleaning, enquiries, service information and customer acquisition.

02

Cleaning Products

Professional chemicals, machinery, cleaning equipment, PPE and consumables.

03

Star Cleaner Academy

Professional industry training and development for cleaning operators.

04

Workforce & Portals

Employer, employee, cleaner and operator-related digital functions.

The Transformation

Repair first. Simplify next. Separate when the business was ready.

We treated Star Cleaner as an evolving business infrastructure project, not a cosmetic website redesign.

Stage 01

Audit what already existed

We reviewed UX problems, page conflicts, technical issues, navigation and legacy components.

Stage 02

Repair UX and UI

We progressively improved interface consistency, customer journeys, navigation and conversion pathways.

Stage 03

Reorganise the digital architecture

Corporate services, e-commerce, workforce functions and training began being treated as separate business units.

Stage 04

Separate the shop

The commerce operation became its own dedicated property, allowing the product business to develop independently.

Stage 05

Structure workforce functions

Cleaner, employee, employer and operator workflows are being developed around their actual operational requirements.

Next

Give the Academy its own future

The training operation currently remains connected to the corporate environment, with the possibility of becoming another dedicated ecosystem property.

Business Ecosystem Development

Star Cleaner is becoming more than a website.

Each digital property can focus on its own audience, commercial objectives and operational requirements while remaining connected through one Star Cleaner ecosystem.

One brand. Multiple specialised platforms. One connected ecosystem.

Dedicated Commerce Platform

The shop was large enough to become its own business property.

Star Cleaner Shop

We separated commerce from the corporate website.

Star Cleaner had built a substantial product business alongside its cleaning services.

The growing catalogue of chemicals, machines, equipment, consumables and professional brands required dedicated product discovery, category architecture and purchasing journeys.

Keeping this inside the corporate site would continue increasing complexity. The commerce operation therefore became a specialised digital property of its own.

Separation does not mean losing the brand.

The Star Cleaner identity continues across services, products, professionals and training. The architecture separates. The ecosystem remains connected.

Pearstec Role

We are rebuilding the infrastructure while the business remains live.

Star Cleaner requires continuous work across business architecture, design, technology, e-commerce and digital strategy.

01

UX & UI Remodeling

Repairing confusing interfaces, layouts and inconsistent user journeys.

02

Information Architecture

Reorganising services, products, training and workforce functionality.

03

WooCommerce Transformation

Restructuring the commerce experience around the requirements of a serious product business.

04

Shop Segregation

Separating the growing e-commerce operation from the primary corporate platform.

05

Workforce Architecture

Developing cleaner, employer, employee and operator-related digital workflows.

06

Training Infrastructure

Supporting Star Cleaner Academy as another strategic component of the ecosystem.

07

Technical Optimization

Resolving legacy issues, performance problems and conflicts created by earlier architecture.

08

Ecosystem Strategy

Moving the project from maintaining one website toward managing several connected business platforms.

Next Phase

The ecosystem is still evolving.

The objective is not to create disconnected websites. It is to give each business function enough room to grow while keeping everything strategically connected.

The next logical evolution is Star Cleaner Academy.

Training currently remains connected to the corporate environment. As learner activity, courses and education operations expand, the Academy can move into a dedicated learning platform while remaining part of the Star Cleaner ecosystem.

Technology & Expertise

More than website development.

This is an ongoing business architecture and digital ecosystem transformation project.

This project cannot be measured by how many pages we redesigned.

The real work is the continuing transformation of Star Cleaner from one complex website into a cleaner, scalable and connected business ecosystem.
